Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow lending portfolios, supervise collection activities, and initiate measures to maximize efficiency focused on credit card debt collections
- Directly communicate with lenders to understand and drive their desired outcomes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and data analysts, to align strategies and optimize collection performance.
- Conduct monthly reviews with lenders and define collection budgets, allocating resources effectively for maximum impact.
- Achieve collection targets for the assigned area, focusing on non-starters and maintaining control over flow cases.
- Provide documented feedback and ensure effective communication with collection officers.
- Ensure the adequate availability of collection officers, segment-wise and bucket-wise, for efficient collection activities.
- Manage productivity by setting productivity parameters for collection officers & agencies.
- Monitor performance against set parameters and conduct weekly reviews with collection executives.
- Ensure background checks for all collection agencies hired and identify and address training needs of collection executives.
- Evaluate the performance of all collection executives and provide necessary support.
Qualifications:
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Prior Credit card experience is a value add
- 5+ years of experience in a collections role, with a proven track record of success and achievement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially in negotiations.
- Strong negotiation skills with a propensity for driving results in a high-performance environment.
- Robust relationship-building and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of computers and proficiency in using relevant software applications.
- Graduate in any specialization.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification or training in call centre management or customer service
- Familiarity with fintech products or services, particularly in the debt collections domain
- Multilingual abilities
